Su Wan'er's mother was killed by Lin Yutang. Twelve years later, she becomes Lin Yutang's body double and uses her talents to secure the position of crown prince's fiancée. Lin Yutang, jealous, abuses her, but the prince loves Su Wan'er. At the wedding, Su Wan'er refuses to switch identities. During a confrontation, Lin's mother, fearing exposure of Lin Yutang's lost chastity, shoots her own daughter. Su Wan'er then becomes the prime minister's daughter and marries the crown prince.
